Export your data
Download everything you've created on Outerank — open formats, no lock-in, anytime.
What it is
The Export page lets you download all of your data in portable, open formats. Per project you can grab CSVs of your audits, keyword research, rank-tracker history, backlinks, AI-search (GEO) history, internal-link analyses, competitor intel, outreach campaigns, and Outcome Simulator runs, plus a content index of every article. Articles export as Markdown, client reports as standalone HTML, and AI Advisor chats as Markdown. Or click one button to get everything in a single ZIP with a README.
Why it matters
Your data is yours — full stop. Being able to walk out with everything in open formats means you're never locked in, you can hand a client their files, plug data into your own spreadsheets/BI tools, or keep an offline backup. It's also a trust signal: a tool confident in its value doesn't hold your data hostage.
How to use it (step-by-step)
Follow these in order. Each step is 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Step 1
Pick a project
Everything on the page is scoped to the project you select at the top.
Step 2
Grab the full ZIP (easiest)
Click 'Download ZIP' for one bundle containing every CSV + all articles (Markdown) + reports (HTML) + Advisor chats + a README explaining each file.
Step 3
Or download individual CSVs
Prefer just one dataset? Each card downloads that single CSV — open it straight in Excel or Google Sheets.
Step 4
Articles, reports & chats
Individual articles, reports, and chats are also downloadable from their own module pages — or just use the ZIP to get them all at once.
What costs credits
No surprises. Browsing and viewing saved results is always free.
Pro tips
- →Use the ZIP for client handoffs — it's a clean, branded-free folder of everything you did for that project.
- →CSVs open directly in Google Sheets — great for building your own custom dashboards or charts.
- →Export before a big change (or monthly) to keep your own offline backup, independent of us.

How we compare
Honest comparison — where we win, where the big tools win.
vs. Ahrefs / Semrush
They let you export individual reports, but a one-click 'everything for this project' bundle in open formats is rare. We make leaving easy on purpose — because we'd rather earn your stay.
