Competitor Intel
Spy on what's working for your competitors — keywords, content, backlinks.
What it is
Competitor Intel pulls a snapshot of any competitor URL: their title/meta, headings hierarchy, candidate keywords they're targeting, internal link structure, and surface-level technical signals. Combined with the Keyword Research module's competitor-URL importer, you can extract 20-30 seed keywords from any competitor page in seconds.
Why it matters
If your competitor is already ranking, they've already done the hard work of figuring out what Google rewards in your niche. Copy what's working, then do it 10% better. Faster than building a content strategy from scratch.
How to use it (step-by-step)
Follow these in order. Each step is 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
- 1
Paste a competitor URL
We extract their on-page signals: title, meta, H1/H2 hierarchy, sample content.
- 2
Surface candidate seeds
You get back 20-30 keyword candidates with a 'send to Keyword Research' button.
- 3
Run those seeds through Keyword Research
Now you have the seed list + real volume data + difficulty — pick the realistic targets.
Pro tips
- →Don't copy a competitor's exact title — Google penalizes obvious dupes. Use it as inspiration; write something better.
- →Look at their H2s. That's how they structure the topic. Often you can identify gaps where your article will be more complete.
How we compare
Honest comparison — where we win and where the big tools win.
vs. SimilarWeb
SimilarWeb gives traffic estimates (often wildly off). We give you actionable on-page intel you can use today.
vs. Ahrefs Site Explorer
Ahrefs is deeper for backlink analysis. We're faster for content/keyword extraction.
