- We respect your data. We don't sell it, we don't train AI on your private projects.
2. The agreement
By creating an account or paying for a subscription on outerank.com (the "Service") you agree to these terms. The Service is operated by Outerank LLC, a limited liability company registered in New Mexico, USA (the "Company", "we").
3. Your subscription, billing & renewal
Outerank is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription. Prices, plan limits, and included features are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice for renewing subscribers.
Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of the Pro plan — full access to almost every module, no credit card required. After the trial ends, the account reverts to no plan until you choose one. No automatic charges, no surprise billing.
Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically at the same price each cycle until you cancel. The price and billing frequency are shown clearly before you confirm payment, and we email a receipt for every charge. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing or by emailing support@outerank.com. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Refund eligibility — including our 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription — is described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use Outerank to:
- Submit content that's illegal, deceptive, defamatory, or violates intellectual-property rights.
- Send unsolicited bulk email ("spam"). Our outreach feature is for individualized, opt-in outreach only.
- Bypass rate limits, scrape the platform, or attempt to reverse-engineer our services.
- Attack other websites (DDoS, brute-force, etc.) using Outerank's infrastructure.
Violations result in immediate account suspension without refund.
5. Your data, your content
You retain full ownership of websites, keywords, content, and reports you create in Outerank. We process this data only to provide the Service. We never sell it, and we never train external AI models on your private project data.
You can export or permanently delete your data at any time from Settings → Account.
6. Our intellectual property
The Outerank software, branding, audit-scoring algorithms, AI-fix templates, and all proprietary content remain our property. You receive a non-exclusive license to use them while your subscription is active.
7. Third-party AI providers
Outerank uses Anthropic's Claude API for AI-generated content (audit fixes, content writing, outreach drafts). Anthropic processes the prompts we send but does not retain them for training. You can disable AI features in Settings if you prefer.
8. Liability
We work hard to keep Outerank accurate, but SEO involves search-engine algorithms we don't control. We don't guarantee specific ranking positions or traffic levels. Our maximum liability is capped at the amount you've paid in the previous 12 months.
9. Changes to these terms
When we update these terms in a material way, we'll email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Outerank after that = you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, where the Company is registered. Where you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any mandatory protections granted by the law of your country of residence.
